What does 3c certification mean?

In December 2001, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued the "Compulsory Product Certification Management Regulations", replacing the original import commodity safety and quality licensing system and electrical product safety certification system with a compulsory product certification system. China Compulsory Certification is referred to as CCC certification or 3C certification. It is a statutory mandatory safety certification system, and it is also a basic practice widely adopted in the world to protect consumers' rights and interests and safeguard consumers' personal and property safety.

1: Application accepted

After receiving the application that meets the requirements, CQC will issue an acceptance notice to the applicant, instructing the applicant to send or send relevant documents and materials. The application phase changes to application acceptance. At the same time, CQC sends relevant charges and notifications. The applicant provides the information to CQC as required.

2: Data review

In the data review stage, the product certification engineer needs to divide the application into units. After the units are divided, if sample testing is required, the product certification engineer will send a sample delivery notice and a corresponding payment notice to the applicant, and at the same time, notify the applicant to send a sample acceptance notice to the corresponding testing agency.

3: Sample receiving for sample delivery

The samples shall be directly delivered by the applicant to the designated testing agency. The testing agency will check and accept the samples received by calling, and fill in the sample acceptance report. For unqualified samples, it will issue a sample rectification notice, and fill in the sample acceptance report after rectification. After the sample is accepted, the testing agency fills in the sample testing schedule and reports it to CQC. After CQC receives the sample testing progress and confirms that the applicant has paid off the relevant fees, it will issue a formal acceptance notice to the applicant, issue a testing task letter to the testing agency, and the sample testing will officially start.

4: Sample test

During the sample testing process, the applicant shall rectify any non-conformity items in accordance with the sample test rectification notice. After the sample test is completed, the testing agency fills in the sample test result notification. The testing agency will also send the test report and other materials to CQC.

5: Factory inspection

For applications requiring factory inspections, the inspection office organizes factory inspections.

6: Conformity assessment

After the product certification engineer collects and organizes the results of each stage, he conducts a preliminary evaluation. Conformity assessors reassess the above results.

7: Certificate Approval

8: Printing, collection, delivery and management of certificates

The applicant prints the certificate receipt and picks it up or asks to send the certificate.
