Characteristics of knitted fabrics
Knitted fabrics are fabrics formed by bending the yarns into loops with knitting needles and intertwining them. Knitted fabrics have a soft hand feel and greater flexibility, better softness, good moisture absorption and air permeability, but Their curling property is also high. There are many knitted fabrics on the market, the common ones are polyester warp-knitted fabrics, warp-knitted pile fabrics, warp-knitted mesh fabrics, warp-knitted velvet fabrics, warp-knitted loop fabrics and so on. So what are the characteristics of knitted fabrics?
1. Soft feel and greater flexibility-womens knitwear manufacturer
Knitted goods are made of loops in weaving. The knitting density is low, the texture is soft and comfortable, and the hand feels good. The arrangement of the loops in the fabric has a large gap. The loops are easy to deform and stretch when stressed, which makes the fabric stretch. And it can be restored to its original state after the external force is eliminated, and it has good elasticity. The elasticity of knitwear can adapt to the changes in the extension and bending of various parts of the human body, maintain the original shape of the clothes, and wear them close to the body.
2. Better flexibility
Because the yarn with a smaller twist is used when knitting knitted fabrics, and the knitting density is smaller, the knitting quality is relatively soft. This soft fabric is suitable for contacting people's skin, reducing the coefficient of friction between the skin and the fabric, and feeling comfortable to wear.
3. Good moisture absorption and breathability
The knitted fabric has a large gap between the loop and the loop, which is good for absorbing human sweat and removing sweat. It feels cooler when worn in summer, but it will not feel stuffy to keep warm in winter and has good air permeability.
4. High curling
Hemming is the shortcoming of knitted fabrics. It can cause uneven seams of garment pieces or size changes of garment edges, which will ultimately affect the overall shape of the garment and the size of the garment. But not all knitted fabrics have hemming properties, only fabrics with individual weaves such as weft jerseys. For this kind of fabric, you can pull the edges and insert ribs by adding sizes when designing the pattern. Or piping and inlaid adhesive interlining strips on the edge of the garment. The hemming of some knitted fabrics has been eliminated during the finishing process of the fabric, which avoids the trouble of template design.
