In December 2001, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued the "Administrative Regulations on Compulsory Product Certification", which replaced the originally imported commodity safety and quality licensing system and electrical product safety certification system with a compulsory product certification system. China Compulsory Product Certification is referred to as CCC certification or 3C certification. CCC certification is a statutory mandatory safety certification system, and it is also a basic practice widely used internationally to protect consumers' rights and interests and safeguard consumers' personal and property safety.

Products included in the "Product Catalogue for Implementing Compulsory Product Certification" include household appliances, automobiles, safety glass, wires and cables, toys and other products. Only after the certificate and the certification mark are applied, can it leave the factory, import, sell and use in business service places. Among them, CQC is designated to undertake the 3C certification of 134 products in 17 categories within the scope of the CCC catalogue.

The CCC logo is generally pasted on the surface of the product or pressed on the product by moulding. There is a random code behind each CCC logo, and each random code has a corresponding manufacturer and product. When issuing the mandatory product certification mark, the certification mark issuance management centre has entered the product corresponding to the code into the computer database, and consumers can query the code through the National Quality Certification Center. There are currently four types of CCC certification marks, each of which has five sizes, namely:

CCC+S&E safety and electromagnetic compatibility certification mark-CCC certification mark
