Model Overview & Improvements
Compared to the 2023 model, the 2024 DS525X has wider and taller handlebars, making your riding posture more comfortable. Long rides won’t feel as tiring anymore.
The large body guards and chassis skid plate have also been upgraded, now much sturdier, so you don’t need to do extra modifications yourself—super convenient and worry-free.
The seat is wider, larger, and made of anti-slip material, giving you a solid and stable feel while riding. Comfort levels have gone up noticeably.
The 2024 model also adds backlighting for the handlebar buttons, making them easy to see at night while giving the bike a more premium look.
The UI design of the screen has been improved too. Even under strong sunlight, the display remains clear, so no more squinting to check your instruments.
Riding Experience & Performance
When it comes to power, the DS525X really delivers. Overtaking on the road is effortless, and the bike accelerates smoothly and steadily.
Cruising stability is another highlight. Riding at around 80 km/h feels incredibly smooth, with minimal vibration. Even when pushing the speedometer up to 150 km/h, the throttle still has some reserve, though stability becomes a bit of a concern, so I didn’t push further.
Handling is impressively agile, cornering is easy, and lean angles come naturally. Even beginners can get the hang of it quickly.
Lighting is solid as well. The stock low beam with auxiliary lights is plenty bright for city roads. The high beam is a bit strong, but it lights up the road very effectively.
Buying Tips & Considerations
For those considering the DS525X, keep in mind that this bike is on the heavier side. Lifting it if it tips over could be a challenge.
When buying, you might also consider adding some practical accessories, like an upgraded skid plate or reinforced tail rack, which can further enhance your riding experience.
