Karen Byrne made her first appearance as a judge on Dancing With The Stars on Friday evening - and left viewers in stitches with a 'naughty' pun. The show kicked off its eighth season last night with Karen, 32, joining the judging panel for the first time. Karen has been a professional dancer on the show since 2017, bagging the Glitterball trophy twice and even finding love with her 2018 partner Jake Carter. Fans of the series were thrilled that Karen would be joining the judging panel due to her expertise and vibrant personality, according to RSVP Live - and one pun on tonight's show had viewers in stitches. It came when Eurovision legend Mickey Joe Harte and his partner Rebecca Scott were awarded 19 points from the judges after performing a Paso Doble to Teenage Kicks. However, it was Karen's comment that stole the show, as her constructive critique ended with a cheeky pun about the singer's leather trousers. "It was a bit stiff, Mickey, but that could have been your trousers," she joked, causing much laughter. Social media users found the joke hilarious, and said it confirmed Karen's place among the judges as someone who was not afraid to have a bit of fun. "A little bit stiff Micky - good woman Karen," commented one viewer. "I really hope Karen Byrne had a serious bet on with someone that she could say 'stiff Mickey' on national television," another said. A third viewer added: "I take back any previous comment.
