Marissa Bode, Lisa Cortés Among NY Women in Film & Television Muse Awards Honorees (Exclusive)

Wicked star and Emmy-winning director-producer Lisa Cortés (Little Richard: I Am Everything, Precious) are among the 2025 NY Women in Film & Television Muse honorees, The Hollywood Reporter can reveal exclusively. Additional honorees include CNN’s executive vp for talent, CNN originals and creative development Amy Entelis; Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Versha Sharma; and Emmy-winning producer Celia Costas, whose credits include Angels in America, tick, tick… BOOM!, The Intern and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. Related Stories Bode, the disability rights activist who became the first wheelchair user to play the role of Nessarose in Wicked in Jon M. Chu’s film, will receive the NYWIFT Loreen Arbus Changemaker Award. Costas will receive the Made in NY Award presented by the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, which recognizes people who have made significant contributions to New York City’s entertainment industry throughout their careers. And Sharma will receive the Enid Roth Award for Excellence in Journalism. “NYWIFT is beyond excited to honor this year’s dynamic group of women, all of whom speak to our theme of metamorphosis,” NYWIFT CEO Cynthia Lopez said in a statement. “Like the monarch butterfly, these changemakers persist despite the odds, bringing beauty to our world through their creative work and offer us inspiration and hope in challenging times.”  NYWIFT board of directors president Kim Jackson added, “For 44 years NYWIFT has celebrated our industry’s muses, both in front and behind the camera, and this year’s honorees continue to inspire us with their fearless storytelling.” Of Made in NY Award recipient Celia Costas, NYC media and entertainment commissioner Pat Swinney Kaufman called her a “dynamic force in the world of film production.” Kaufman added, “A born and raised New Yorker, Celia has been celebrated for bringing complex, impactful stories to life and for giving back to the local community by helping to guide and foster the next generation of filmmakers.”   The 45th annual Muse Awards, which will celebrate evolution, resilience and growth in the media and entertainment industry, is set to take place on Wednesday, March 26 at Cipriani 42nd St. in New York. The ceremony will be hosted by CBS Sunday Morning contributor and actress-comedian Nancy Giles and will be available on TV and online on NYC Life, the lifestyle channel for New York City’s broadcast network NYC Media.
