Stranger Things is known for many things, and among them is its absolutely killer soundtrack. Throughout all five seasons, the eclectic mix of 80s bangers and other songs from the era is part of what makes the series so great. The series has also developed a track record of pushing older songs back into the spotlight, sometimes with major chart success.
With all volumes of Season 5 now released, the final season comes with a complete soundtrack that reflects both the show’s history and its closing chapter. Previous seasons set a high bar, most notably with Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” in Season 4 and Metallica’s “Master of Puppets,” both of which saw renewed chart interest after featuring prominently in the series.
Season 5 continues that approach, using music to underscore key moments rather than chase viral hits. Whether any track breaks through in the same way remains to be seen, but the soundtrack remains an important part of how the series wraps up.
