Team India left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh claimed 2-18 in four overs as the Men in Blue beat the United States of America (USA) by 29 runs in a Group A match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, February 7. Batting first, India posted 161-9 on the board in their 20 overs and then restricted USA to 132-8.
Sent into bat, the Men in Blue lost six wickets for 77 runs before skipper Suryakumar Yadav (84* off 49) rescued them. With the ball, Mohammed Siraj claimed 3-29, while Arshdeep picked up two scalps. The latter dismissed USA skipper Monank Patel for 0 and Mohammad Mohsin for 8.
