A UK health giant has confirmed the closure date of one of its stores.
Now Holland and Barrett, which has 1,600 stores across the globe, has announced that it will be closing one of its Kent branches next month. The store located on Sheerness High Street will cease trading on Wednesday, May 6. The branch currently employs five people.
A Holland & Barrett spokesperson said: “We are committed to relocating store colleagues during closures where possible and support them through the process.
“In the meantime, the store is open as usual, bringing expert-led advice alongside our range of science-backed products and services to our customers.”
The closure comes as the health giant revealed it is investing £70 million to transform its stores, including opening and revamping more than 200 locations across the nation, reports Kent Online.
The retailer is also scheduled to shut another store even sooner.
Holland and Barrett is axing its shop on Broad Street, Cambridge. The store is "open as usual" until it closes for the last time on April 22.
A spokesperson said: "In the meantime, the store is open as usual, bringing expert-led advice alongside our range of science-backed products and services to our customers.
"Opening hours are available on our website, which also offers our full range of wellness solutions, plus links to health and wellbeing advice, and free 15-minute one-to-one appointments with our Body Qualified Experts at hollandandbarret.com."
