2026 Hyundai Elantra N TCR Edition Starts at $40,495

We were real excited last year to learn the 2026 Hyundai Elantra N TCR Edition would be sold in the U.S. On Thursday, Hyundai made us even more pumped when the automaker revealed the price for its extra-spicy performance sedan.

The TCR Edition will be offered in both the manual and dual-clutch transmission options; a manual starts at $40,495, while the DCT is a little more expensive at $41,995, both including the $1245 destination charge. That makes it $4150 more expensive than a regular Elantra N, regardless of the transmission . The question that remains: Is that a good deal?

Hyundai has put together a rather compelling package. The TCR Edition adds four-piston monobloc calipers with two-piece front rotors, an adjustable carbon fiber swan-neck wing, 19-inch forged wheels, and a whole host of material/appearance changes. A host of items are wrapped in Alcantara, including the new steering wheel, shift knob, handbrake lever and center console armrest. The car also adds N Performance aluminum sill plates, TCR puddle lamps, blue front seatbelts and TCR Edition badging.

All of the above would certainly cost more than $4150 to purchase and install via aftermarket parts, making the TCR Edition sound like a pretty sweet deal. Of course, springing for one would require you to be a fan of the polarizing rear wing. It’s functional, Hyundai says, but the size is verging on comical. You’ll also have to be okay with Performance Blue, because it’s the only color TCR Editions will be sold in.

Hyundai hasn’t said how many TCR Editions it plans to sell in the U.S., but makes note that this model will have “a limited production run.” In other words, if you want one, it would be wise to start making moves. Compared to its most likely competition, the TCR Edition undercuts a Honda Civic Type R by $7595 and is just under $1000 cheaper than a base Toyota GR Corolla.

If you already have an Elantra N but would like some OEM-backed performance parts, Hyundai has an announcement for you today, too. A small catalog of N Performance Parts has just been released, with some key options being 19-inch forged wheels, a (much lower) carbon fiber rear wing, carbon fiber mirrors and a host of Alcantara interior bits. Additional appearance items are available, too, and these are made for both the Elantra N and the Ioniq 5 N. Hyundai says it will be consistently adding more parts to the list after the initial launch of the program.
