The opening weekend of the 2026 Hurling Championship has thrown up a mouth-watering clash between Tipperary and Cork in round one.
Cork were emphatic winners in two of their three meetings in 2025 - the League clash and the Division 1A final.
However, the tables were turned when they locked horns in the All-Ireland SHC last summer as Tipp overturned a six-point half-time deficit to lift the Liam MacCarthy following a brilliant 15-point win at Croke Park.
If their League meeting in February is anything to go by, today’s rematch could be feisty. Nether team will want to give an inch. In the Munster Championship, you can’t afford to.
