Wendell Carter Jr and the Orlando Magic could not get the job done against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday in Game 7. It was an important game for both teams, but only the Pistons performed at their best as they took a 116-94 win to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Carter's performance was not among his finest. He shot 3-for-7 from the floor to end with 13 points and five rebounds. The Magic needed him to step up, since they didn't have their second-best player, Franz Wagner.

Star forward Paolo Banchero led the team with 38 points, nine rebounds and six assists. But that wasn't enough to lead the Magic to a win.
After Carter's performance, fans on X mocked him for his disappointing performance.

In the fourth quarter, he missed a shot from the charity stripe, and the crowd started to chant Reese's name.
Wendell Carter Jr had a tough night after the Magic were eliminated from the playoffs. Heading into the postseason, Carter was confident that they had what it takes to beat any team. They even pushed the No. 1-seeded team to seven games.
However, their effort wasn't enough to win against the Pistons, led by Cade Cunningham. The All-Star guard finished with 32 points and 12 assists in a crucial Game 7 win.
Wendell Carter Jr's girlfriend, Angel Reese, also had a tough night during the Atlanta Dream's preseason game against the Washington Mystics on Sunday. The Dream suffered an 83-72 loss against the Mystics, led by rookie center Lauren Betts, who had 17 points and four rebounds.
Reese, meanwhile, finished with 10 points on 3-for-7 shooting. She also went viral on X after her layup was set back by second-year forward Kiki Iriafen.
