Popular north Dublin pub to be sold

The Beachcomber pub in Killester has been put up for sale with a guide price of €6m.

The popular bar, located at the end of a parade of shops on the Howth Road in the north Dublin suburb, extends 6,000 sq ft over two floors.

The owners, brothers Donough and Daire Duignan, have put the pub on the market with specialised licensed premises agent John P Younge.

The business was founded by Jack Duignan, father of Donough and Daire, in 1963, and the pub serves as a venue for local activities as well as sports screenings and charity fundraisers.

Including food sales and drink, annual turnover is believed to be around €2.7m net of VAT.

The two-storey premises has side access to the rear and is adjoined by a SuperValu suermarket.

The ground floor lounge bar extends 2,938 sq ft and its catering area is supplemented by streetside tables and seating.

There is also a 102 sq ft kitchen as well as a store, cold room, toilets and an office on the ground floor.

The first floor is a lounge, carvery and restaurant in two section: the front covering 1,324 sq ft and the back section extending 1,690 sq ft.

There is also a 370 sq ft catering kitchen, a food coldroom, and toilets. The site also has an enclosed service yard with a 132 sq ft portacabin office.

The premises has a vacant retail area that is adaptable for internal use or leasing.
