AAA predicts 45 million Americans will travel this Memorial Day weekend, which means the unofficial start of summer is probably going to look a lot like last year.
Roughly 39 million will drive, while about 3.6 million are expected to fly.
That will be a barely noticeable boost of one-tenth of one percent among drivers, compared to last year.

Most of the growth in travel will be in people taking buses, trains or cruises.
While gas prices are up significantly compared to last year, AAA reports early flight bookings were slightly cheaper before jet fuel prices surged.
