Why is pedagogical instructions much better than lecturing?

Lecturing is selling to a degree, and the information gets thrown at students but sticks not much to them. On the other hand, pedagogy involves interacting, understanding, and active learning or guidance instead of just mere telling. It encourages critical thinking and makes students really understand the content. It is far more effective than mastering complex things like academic writing, much like thesis editors who do not just edit for grammar but also improve structure, clarity, and argument; so it involves support, their feedback, and real engagement. It is meant not only to impart knowledge but also to ensure that it is meaningful and relevant.
