Russian President Vladimir Putin met with North Korean military personnel following the Victory Day Parade on Red Square, in a rare gesture of public appreciation for Pyongyang's support in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday. The DPRK command staff, who were reportedly involved in assisting Russian forces in the liberation of the Kursk region from what Moscow describes as Ukrainian "neo-Nazi battalions," were thanked personally by Putin in what Peskov described as a polite act of recognition for their role in Russia’s special military operation.
