Nothing Phone 4a | Best Value Mid Range Phone, Upgraded!

The Nothing Phone 4a and Pro have launched and I've been testing the regular model, to see if its camera abilities, gaming performance, battery life etc are an upgrade vs the 3a. This unboxing and early Nothing Phone 4a review includes my Nothing Phone 4a verdict - spoiler alert, still one of the best budget mid-range phones for 2026.

You've got a few updates for this year's model, including a fresh bit of camera hardware. That telephoto shooter now zooms up to 3.5 times, with 7x lossless capture. The Nothing Phone 4a once again boasts those XDR smarts,

Gamers can get some Wuthering Waves or Genshin Impact on the go, although don't expect to play with the settings bumped up. Likewise, the Nothing Phone 4a boasts rather splendid battery life, despite no significant upgrade in that area.

As long as you're not bothered about eSIM support or the full-on Glyph Matrix shenanigans, I'd say probably grab yourself a Nothing Phone 4a rather than the Pro. However, I'll be fully testing the Phone 4a Pro these next couple of weeks, to see if it's actually worth that extra cash!
