US Vice President JD Vance and other officials will meet Iranian counterparts in Islamabad on Saturday, following a Pakistan-brokered ceasefire agreement. Pakistan has carved out an unlikely role as mediator in the Middle East conflict, capitalizing on its warm ties with nearly all of the key players in the six-week conflict.
