How does inheritance work in Switzerland?

 

Inheritance laws in Switzerland include forced heirship rules, which means that certain relatives cannot be disinherited despite a last will. For example, if a testator leaves a spouse and children, the compulsory portion of the spouse will be 25%, and the children will be entitled to 37.5% of the estate.
