a high level of confidence that the Elden Ring has been damaged

The plot of Elden Ring is involved and, at times, can be difficult to follow. As you travel through the Lands Between, there is a lot of history and backstory for you to uncover, and simply getting a sense of the local politics and religion is an important aspect of figuring out what the hell you're trying to do. Because so much of the gameplay is up to the player's discretion, it is also simple to lose track of what is going on in the surrounding area. It's possible that you won't catch certain aspects of the story if you don't explore every nook and cranny, read the description of every item, and engage in lengthy conversations with each and every character you come across multiple times and on multiple occasions.

You can find out a lot about what's going on in Elden Ring and how you're affecting the game world as you move through it if you look in the right places, but you have to know where to look

1.  It's true that you have to eliminate a large number of demigods, but if you can figure out who they are and why you have to eliminate them, you'll have a much better understanding of the game

2.  Instead of merely focusing on the background information that serves as a foundation for the narrative, our goal is to provide an overview of the events that take place in Elden Ring

3.  This is the tale of you, the Tarnished, who fought your way through the Lands Between to arrive at the buy Elden Ring items and claim the title of Elden Lord

This article will, of course, include spoilers for the show. If you aren't familiar with the history and lore of the Lands Between, you should read our History and Lore explainer. It details everything that takes place before you awaken in the Church of Ambition. If you aren't familiar with this information, you should read cheap Elden Ring runes. In addition, we are not going to delve into the backstories of the various characters' quests because doing so could turn your experience in PC Elden Ring Runes into a more personal narrative. And even though we are going to discuss the game's conclusion, we are only going to discuss the primary ending, which is fairly straightforward, and not any of the endings that can be unlocked by completing side quests given by NPCs. Check out some of our other articles about the  story for some explanations on those.

You are shown in the opening cinematic to be one of the Tarnished, which is a person who died outside the Lands Between but was brought back by grace, which appears to be the power of the outer god known as the Greater Will. This was made clear to you in the beginning cinematic. In a nutshell, some higher power wants you to carry out its will in the Lands Between and is counting on you to do so. In point of fact, there have been many Tarnished called to the Lands Between for this job, and everyone who came before you has been unsuccessful. However, it is not entirely clear what it is that you are supposed to do, and as you progress through the story, you will hear a variety of different explanations from various characters.

After being immediately attacked and possibly killed by a boss (a Grafted Scion—more on that thing later), as is the custom in Soulsborne games, you awaken in the proper setting of the Lands Between, where you are apparently assisted along the way by a strange horse and a woman who is cloaked

  • Upon exiting the tomb, you come face to face with an odd man named Varre, who provides you with a concise summary of your situation, which is that you are being guided by grace and are attempting to become Elden Lord

  • However, he tells you that it is unfortunate because you do not have a maiden, unlike the other Tarnished, and that this almost certainly indicates that you are destined to perish

  • However, he explains that despite this, you can at least see the guidance of grace, which appears as a peculiar golden light and directs you toward whatever your subsequent objective may be

  • It is not entirely clear whether Grace is a manifestation of the Golden Order, the will of the Greater Will, or the wisdom of the Two Fingers; however, Grace is a manifestation of something

  • As events continue to unfold, you'll realize why the lack of distinction poses a bit of a challenge for the Tarnished as they attempt to navigate their way through the Lands Between

The tarnished have the ability to see the guidance of grace, which provides them with some divine wisdom regarding the path they should take. Finger Maidens are young women who have been similarly touched by the servants of the Greater Will. These maidens follow their own guidance of grace in order to assist the Tarnished in their various missions. Due to their proximity to a divine power, Finger Maidens are able to transform the power of runes, which are pieces of the Elden Ring, into strength for their Tarnished buds. Because Finger Maidens are the key to progressing through the levels of Elden Ring, the fact that you do not currently possess one presents a significant challenge for you.(The reason why you don't have a Finger Maiden is a mystery for another time; however, when you first start the game, you exit the tomb and walk past the body of a maiden; it seems likely that she was yours at one point, and it's possible that Varre was responsible for her passing.)

There are a lot of things you can do in Limgrave that have nothing to do with following the guidance of grace, despite the fact that  is well-known for being open and unrestricted to visitors. However, at some point in the game, you will run into the same woman that you had a brief encounter with in the tomb at the beginning of the adventure. She calls herself Melina and makes the proposition that she will act as your Finger Maiden in exchange for your assistance in getting her to the Erdtree. She also gives you a whistle, which enables you to summon Torrent, the goat-horse bud that you had a brief encounter with earlier, to assist you in navigating the area.
