Gemma Atkinson praises hot tub holiday park and spa an hour from Manchester

Nothing appeals to parents more than a relaxing break away and there's one just a short drive from Manchester that's been in the spotlight. That's because actress and radio presenter Gemma Atkinson has been heaping praise on the place after celebrating her 40th birthday there. The mum-of-said she visited Ribby Hall Village and fell in love with the Lancashire holiday park, which is set in over 100 acres of countryside in Wrea Green, close to Blackpool. Her group also enjoyed a meal at the on-site Terrazza Italian restaurant, as well as some pamper time in the spa. Former Hollyoaks actress Gemma, who has daughter Mia and son Thiago with her fiance Gorka Marquez, who she met on the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing, said she loved it so much, she is already planning a return trip. Stating she was keen to take her mum and kids back to the village, she added: "We are going to go back later on in the year when Gorka is away because it was fab.” The site is packed with activities to keep families entertained, including a tropical themed swimming pool with slides, a nine-hole golf course, a boating lake for pedal boats, craft sessions, fishing, multi-sports and more.
