Dolly Parton, the undisputed queen of country, has teamed up with Good American to launch an exclusive, limited-edition collection: Dolly’s Joleans. The collection, which drops on April 3, is a dazzling fusion of rhinestone-studded denim, country-glam aesthetics, and inclusive fashion, embodying Parton’s larger-than-life persona and Good American’s commitment to empowering women of all sizes.
This collaboration is more than just a fashion moment — it’s a celebration of Parton’s fearless spirit, authenticity, and timeless influence. From music to film, philanthropy to fashion, Parton has remained an icon of self-expression, and Dolly’s Joleans is no exception. The collection includes fresh takes on classic fabrics like gingham, poplin, and, of course, denim, all elevated with shimmering embellishments that reflect Parton’s signature style. Designed for those who dare to stand out, the collection radiates individuality and Southern glamour.

The name Dolly’s Joleans is, of course, a playful nod to Dolly’s legendary hit “Jolene,” a song that has captivated generations since its release in 1973. Known for its haunting melody and heartfelt lyrics, the song tells the story of a woman pleading with another to stay away from her man — a tale of vulnerability and strength wrapped in Parton’s signature lyrical storytelling. This collection embodies that same spirit: bold, feminine, and unapologetically powerful. The designs are infused with the same passion and charm that made “Jolene” an enduring anthem, celebrating the resilience and individuality of women everywhere.

In an interview with GRAZIA USA, Parton shares her excitement about the collection, emphasizing its deep connection to her personal style and upbringing.
“Well, I want people to feel like freedom. I want them to feel like they’re free to be themselves. I want them to feel comfortable in the clothes and to feel like they look pretty; they look good. Because when you do look good, you feel good,” the “Jolene” singer tells GRAZIA.
From a young age, denim has been an essential part of her wardrobe. “People have watched me all through the years. They know I’m a country girl, and I grew up in denim — blue jeans. From the time I was born, that’s what we wore to school and everything. And then through the years, I’ve been photographed on covers of magazines, in magazines, with my jeans and a lot of little shirts like this,” she adds, motioning to her red gingham shirt, of course, straight from the new Dolly’s Joleans collection.

Parton’s personal touches can be found throughout the collection, from the fit of the denim to the embellishments that make each piece uniquely hers. “I just hope they feel me a little bit to say, ‘Yeah, Dolly would wear this. And she said, ‘This was good,’ and she’s right. I feel good in it.’ It’s comfortable and pretty,” she shares.
If Dolly had to describe the collection in one word, she playfully struggled to choose just one.
“Well, I think it would be beautiful and comfortable. But it’s just really magical, I think. That’s probably the better word. But it’s country magic,” she says.
The Kardashian Connection: How the Collab Came to Life

Parton’s partnership with Good American was sparked by a moment that had fans buzzing: Khloé Kardashian’s 40th birthday party. The celebration, featured on The Kardashians, was a full-blown Dolly Parton-themed bash, complete with country-glam outfits, dazzling décor, and even a surprise FaceTime from Parton herself. The moment was a highlight of the episode, and it left both Parton and Kardashian feeling inspired. The two bonded over their mutual love of fashion, individuality, and embracing who you are. Soon after, discussions about a collaboration began, leading to Dolly’s Joleans — a collection that blends Parton’s timeless glamour with Good American’s dedication to inclusivity and empowerment.

The collection offers sizes ranging from 00-30, and is priced between $99-$229, making it accessible to a wide range of fashion lovers who want to channel their inner Dolly Parton.

For those who want to hear every detail of Dolly Parton’s thoughts on the collection, style, and why Dolly’s Joleans is the perfect way to bring a little country magic into your wardrobe, you can read the full interview below:
GRAZIA: This collection is, of course, a celebration of your one-of-a-kind spirit. How did you want your essence to come through within these designs? And what designs feel the most “Dolly” to you?
DOLLY PARTON: Well, I want people to feel like freedom. I want them to feel like they’re free to be themselves. I want them to feel comfortable in the clothes and to feel like they look pretty; they look good. Because when you do look good, you feel good. I think that the essence of me, people have watched me all through the years. They know I’m a country girl, and I grew up in denim — blue jeans. From the time I was born, that’s what we wore to school and everything. And then through the years, I’ve been photographed on covers of magazines, in magazines, with my jeans and a lot of little shirts like this. Even on my Here You Come Again album cover, I had a little tied shirt with my blue jeans on. And so I think we just pulled together a few of those little Dolly elements that people would relate to. I just hope they feel me a little bit to say, ‘Yeah, Dolly would wear this. And she said, ‘This was good, and she’s right. I feel good in it.’ It’s comfortable and pretty.
GRAZIA: If you could look at the entire collection and describe it in one word, what would it be and why?
PARTON: Well, I think it would be beautiful and comfortable. But it’s just really magical. I think that’s probably the better word. But it’s country magic. You can’t do it in hardly one word, you need to put something with it. But anyway, I really feel that people are going to love it because it is pretty. And if there are words, if we just use one, it’s pretty and it’s beautiful and it’s comfortable and it’s special. And it’s really stuff that you can put together different outfits around it. You can wear this little shirt with some of the others: there’s a skirt, there’s a little denim dress, we’ve got things with rhinestones on the shirts, we also have rhinestones on some of the denim, different colored denims. But the jeans always really fit good on your body the way the pockets fit, and the stitching, it makes your butt look good. Every girl wants when you wear your jeans, you want your butt to look pretty, right? And this does give you a pretty butt! They’re not padded, but just the way that it’s shaped it’s really nice. I just think that it’s all in there, something for everybody, and they come in all sizes, and that’s good, too. So it goes from extra small to 5X. It’s out there for everybody, and it’s reasonably priced. They go from around $60 to $200. So there is stuff that everybody can afford and look good in.
GRAZIA: Khloé Kardashian has openly shared her admiration for you and threw a Dolly-inspired 40th birthday bash. How did it feel having this pop culture moment dedicated to you? Did that spark any fun ideas when you two started collaborating on Dolly’s Joleans?
PARTON: I think that is what sparked it because we had connections with the Kardashians at different times, in my office and through my managers, and we’d send messages back to each other about, ‘Congratulations on this or that,’ or, ‘Oh, you look great on this show or that,’ but when Khloé did the whole birthday bash, all Dolly themed — which I thought that was great because as you know, I have all these products out, cakes, etc. and I think she made her birthday cake out of some of the stuff that I have out there — that just made it seem so friendly. And then, of course, Emma with Good American. Out of that just came this idea, ‘Hey, why don’t we do a girl thing? Why don’t we do Joleans? Why don’t we work with Dolly? Why don’t we all do this and that?’ And so we did! And I’m really proud of it. Everybody’s talking about it, but I’m really proud of the product, too. It’s really done well because Good American is a great company, and I think it’s just something I can be proud of and proud to talk about. And the Joleans is clever and cute to use my song [“Jolene”] again. That Jolene, boy… I wish my husband had more girlfriends so I could have more titles for more songs! But I got her back: I’ve made money off of her through the years.
GRAZIA: It very much feels like a celebration of strong and trailblazing women. What do you think it means today for women to lift each other up, both in business and beyond?
PARTON: Well, I think it’s always been important for women to stick together and to lift each other up because so many women have never had the chance to do what Khloé and the Kardashians and myself do. So now, especially now, if there’s anything we can do, if we can be an example for a young girl, young woman to see, or even older people — it’s never too late to start something — to know that you can do it and it can be done. And the closer you stay in with that sisterhood, the better off you’re going to be. So I’m all about that. And I think that we can do anything and should be allowed to.
GRAZIA: When it comes to fashion and your style, it has always been bold and unapologetic and very yourself. If you could pass down one lesson about confidence or self-expression to the next generation, what would it be?
PARTON: Well, you said on it right when you first said it: be yourself. You know your personality. You know your good points, your bad points. If you’ve got good boobs, play that up — you don’t have to throw them out there like I do a lot of time, but at least make the most of that. If you have a small waist, make the most of that. If you don’t like your arms, cover them up. You got to just play up your good stuff and just cover the rest. But be you. Be comfortable in what you’re wearing. Even if you want to show off every part of you, as long as you’re comfortable, do what is you. Wear what you’re going to feel the best in and don’t care what somebody else says. You know you. They don’t know you — they think they do, but nobody really does. So just be you and dress around that. You dress that little person that you love and know.
GRAZIA: When it comes to this collection, do you have a personal favorite item or outfit?
PARTON: Well, I like the jeans. I really do because I love the way they fit, and I love the way they make my butt look. I’m always about a good pair of jeans because if you got good jeans, you can dress it up with all the other wonderful things we have: the blouses, the shirts, the gingem (of course), but we also have vests, and we have a little denim dress, which that’s another one I love, too. I think it’s all great. A good pair of jeans, you can wear plain sweaters and plain blouses with, or you can wear all sorts of things on them and you can wear great jewelry with it, or you can be casual. So I think it’s all good. I think this collection is really great.
GRAZIA: Is there anything else that you want to share with our readers or tell our readers?
PARTON: We covered a lot of it, but I always want to say, anything that I have my name attached to, I want people to feel that it’s good and that I’m out here selling it because I really think it’s good. We also want to have affordable things because these are affordable and, like I said, they come in all sizes and there’s something for everybody. You can dress up, dress down, whatever. I’m just really proud to be a part of this Good American collection and working with Khloé and Emma and the good strong gals out there — we got that thing going. So, get your Joleans jeans and see how you feel about this whole collection!
