GTA 6 Should Absolutely Revisit These 10 Fantastic Grand Theft Auto Missions

The Grand Theft Auto series has had many memorable missions that stick forever in players' minds, but some could be revisited in Grand Theft Auto 6 when it releases later this year. While the game is sure to focus on fresh new ideas that were not previously possible in older titles, there are guaranteed to be plenty of callbacks to the series. It is also set to update many mechanics of the Grand Theft Auto series. Some concepts from previous favorite missions could well be brought back, and some could even be sequels, following on from previous stories that have taken place. This is especially true given Grand Theft Auto 6's setting in Vice City, meaningwe could see several follow-ups in the new title. Here are 10 missions that could be revisited in Grand Theft Auto 6. 10 Chop - GTA 5 Animal Related Missions Animals have featured at various points throughout the series, but GTA 5 saw them introduced as a playable character, even for just a small stretch in the mission Chop. Lamar's dog features in missions on several occasions, but in his self-titled mission, you can control him for a brief period as you try to find a Ballas gang member. There are several reasons to think that this idea of playable animals could again feature in Grand Theft Auto 6. In the trailer for GTA 6 itself, several animals can be seen, including crocodiles and dogs on the beach. In addition, the incredible nature detailed in Red Dead Redemption 2 could be brought into GTA 6 to create Rockstars most immersive environment to date, even if most of it will take place in a city location. There are many possible ways they could do this, but it would bring a different element to the more common missions. 9 Gang Warfare - GTA San Andreas Taking Over Territories Across Vice City From the trailer, it is clear that the game's protagonists, Lucia and Jason, are linked to local gangs in Vice City. This could lead to a feature returning that has not been seen since San Andreas. In the game's mission Doberman, you are introduced to the concept of Gang Warfare as CJ can take over territories from rival gangs, giving you further power and control of the map. This hasn't been seen in GTA 4 or GTA 5, but could come back for GTA6. Related Will Grand Theft Auto 6 Include GTA 5's Trevor? With GTA VI still set for release this year, fans are wondering if any beloved characters will make an appearance, especially Trevor Philips. We know that gangs featured heavily in the original Vice City story and those gangs could easily be seen again. Gangs are featured in the GTA 6 trailer, and a similar system could return. A lot has changed in open world titles since San Andreas so this mechanic could easily be evolved to fit into 2025, even if it doesn't play as crucial a role to the story. 8 Friend Request - GTA 5 One of the missions that stands out from a story point of view in GTA 5 was Friend Request. Michael meets up with old friend Lester before disguising himself as an office worker to set a trap for a local businessman. This mission heavily featured technology and computers, which should be expanded on in GTA 6. Social media feature heavily in the trailer and similar missions focus on technology and what it can do in 2025 are expected. Technology and social media are two of the biggest opportunities in GTA 6 to showcase what can be done in modern times, with near endless possibilities. 7 Sir Yes Sir - GTA Vice City Military Vehicles At The Ready A mission that could be a sequel in GTA 6 from Vice City, is the iconic "Sir, Yes Sir," In the original mission, you steal a tank from the military as it makes its way through Vice City, which as a player was always a highlight of a playthrough. While the series has long surpassed tanks as the main destructive vehicle that you can possess, especially with GTA Online, this seems like a mission where a follow-up could take place. A similar scenario, but with a more up-to-date military hardware to steal, it sounds good to me. 6 Three's Company - GTA 5 Making Use Of All Playable Characters GTA 5 brought three playable characters into the game, that you could switch between on the fly. This was never more present than the mission Three's Company. All three protagonists had their own big roles in this showpiece mission and there is potential for more along these lines in GTA 6 with Lucia and Jason. While it is yet to be confirmed how you will switch between the two characters in GTA 6, it is assumed there will be a lot of missions where you can control both at different points. This opens up lots of modern-day opportunities for missions, which potentially could follow in Three's Company's lead but on an even bigger scale. 5 Vehicle Side Missions - GTA 3/Vice City/San Andreas A Possible Return For Fan Favorites Another area that has been overlooked in recent entries to the series is the Vehicle Side Missions. In all the PS2 launches, a big portion of getting 100% was locked behind completing these tasks. Ambulance, Fire Fighter, Vigilante, and Taxis, along with others, thrown in for specific titles. While time-consuming the Vehicle side missions in the series provide vital rewards for players. GTA 4 and GTA 5 have overlooked these for different side missions, but a return to Vice City could be a good time for them to come back into the series. While the basis of all of these missions is simple, they could be given a modern twist, featuring drones, making use of social media, or any of the vast number of specialist vehicles that will be in GTA 6. 4 Publicity Tour - GTA Vice City A Love Fist Reunion Many characters have left their mark in GTA folk law, including the Scottish Rock Band Love Fist, who featured prominently in GTA Vice City. A fan favorite mission saw Tommy and the band driving along in a car that was set to explode if the speed dropped below a certain limit. It was an epic over 20 years ago in a limo, and the possibilities are endless for this saga to be carried on. Love Fist is one of my favorite possible returns that we could see for GTA 6, and if they are, a call back to this iconic mission is in order. With the vehicles now greatly expanded in the series, an opportunity to do a similar mission on a boat or a plane should not be missed. There are a host of other famous characters from the series that could potentially return to GTA6 for a cameo in the game, or at least be referenced, such as Trevor. 3 Demolition Man - GTA Vice City One of the most unique mission types in the earlier games in the series was RC missions. The most iconic is arguably Demolition Man in Vice City, which in my younger days felt incredibly tough at the time. While you could control other devices in GTA 5, this type of mission has generally been one of the past. However, in the age of drones, this feels like a mission that could come back for GTA 6. Whether that is as part of the main missions, or as a new side quest to help earn the players some extra cash. 2 Home Invasion - GTA San Andreas Burglaries To Make A Comeback One of the often underestimated additions in GTA San Andreas was its home burglary system. This was introduced to CJ during the Home Invasion mission. From this point in the game, you can enter certain buildings during the night to perform robberies. The incentives beyond the initial mission, however, weren't great. Home burglaries could also be expanded into other buildings and companies to offer players further opportunities. In GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 many buildings in both games were available for you to enter, filled with a host of fine details. This is sure to be expanded in GTA 6 with more opportunities than ever to enter buildings and, in turn, more opportunities to take part in this type of activity. Especially when taking into account Lucia and Jason's potential roles in GTA 6 as a duo. 1 The Paleto Score - GTA 5 Heists And Robberies Taking Center Stage While we have talked lots about mission types that have been left behind by GTA, one that hasn't is the big robberies and heists. From bank robberies in Vice City to the iconic GTA 4 mission Three Leaf Clover, it has been a central showpiece. This was pushed further in the main story of GTA 5 largely focusing on these big heists, when you build a crew. The biggest most memorable missions in GTA are always the heists or robberies, and GTA 6's are sure to take these to a level we have not seen before. The standout heist from the game was The Paleto Score, which takes place in the middle of the story, with one of the most iconic scenes in GTA 5 as Michael, Trevor, and Franklin walk out equipped in massive armor with guns ready to take down an army. From across the iconic heists in the series, the best parts will inevitably be reused in GTA 6 for some stand-out showpiece missions. With a return to Vice City, there are a host of great missions that Grand Theft Auto 6 can revisit, either as sequels or bringing classic concepts back to the series.
