I Just Realized Something Wild About Doctor Who Season 15's First 3 Episodes
Warning: Spoilers ahead for Doctor Who season 15, episode 3, "The Well."Doctor Who season 15 has started by connecting its first three episodes in a way that I've never seen before, and it's a cool change to the show's usual formula. As joint leaders of the Doctor Who season 15 cast, Ncuti Gatwa and Varada Sethu have been on three very different adventures by the end of "The Well," but how the Doctor and Belinda Chandra have been exploring space and time is pretty unorthodox. It strays from the first run of episodes from Doctor Who's Disney era, and makes sure Gatwa's sophomore season starts at blazing speed.
The TARDIS being unable to get Belinda home is at the heart of Doctor Who season 15. She and the Doctor are landing in so many different places and times so that the Vindicator can gather the data it needs to plot a course to Earth on May 24, 2025. Belinda's initial reluctance as Fifteen's companion appears to have withered away since the season 15 premiere, as she has started to find some joy in their adventures. However, her earliest episodes must be taking a toll on her physical and mental stamina.
All Of Doctor Who Season 15 So Far Seems To Have Happened On The Same Day
The Doctor and Belinda's clothing gives away the fast-paced timeline
Since Belinda's debut, there's been very little of her story not shown onscreen by the end of "The Well." From leaving the hospital and being taken to space in "The Robot Revolution," all the way to the end of "The Well," Doctor Who has stayed with her. The beginning of "Lux" shows both Belinda and Fifteen wearing the same clothes as in "The Robot Revolution," implying an immediate continuation. Similarly, "The Well" begins with them wearing the outfits they changed into for "Lux." Although some brief conversations may have happened offscreen, they're unlikely to be significant.

With A Throwaway Doctor Who Line, Belinda Might Have Solved Season 15's Biggest Mystery
There are a lot of questions surrounding Varada Sethu's Belinda Chandra, but the Doctor's new companion may know more than she realizes.
The Doctor and Belinda's recognizable outfits crossing over into the beginning of the following episodes strongly suggests that those adventures are happening back-to-back, without any sleep taking place in between. So, it's probably true that Belinda has experienced everything up until the end of "The Well" within what is, for her at least, one day - if not less. Therefore, Belinda really has been thrown in at the deep end and has thrived.
Doctor Who Season 15's Timeline Makes Fifteen & Belinda's Relationship Unique
It's not often a new companion is thrust so chaotically into the Doctor's world
Doctor Who will usually tease the occurrence of unseen adventures that happen between episodes, but season 15 hasn't prioritized that. Instead, viewers are being treated to what is essentially an unfettered view of the earliest stage of the dynamic between Fifteen and Belinda. So, not only is this a thrilling experience for the audience, but a Doctor's new companion is very rarely thrust into the chaos so quickly and for such a sustained period. Therefore, Doctor Who has found a way to make the otherwise-familiar Doctor/companion dynamic feel fresh again.
