The beginning of "Lux" shows both Belinda and Fifteen wearing the same clothes as in "The Robot Revolution," implying an immediate continuation. Similarly, "The Well" begins with them wearing the outfits they changed into for "Lux." Although some brief conversations may have happened offscreen, they're unlikely to be significant. Instead, viewers are being treated to what is essentially an unfettered view of the earliest stage of the dynamic between Fifteen and Belinda. So, not only is this a thrilling experience for the audience, but a Doctor's new companion is very rarely thrust into the chaos so quickly and for such a sustained period. Therefore, Doctor Who has found a way to make the otherwise-familiar Doctor/companion dynamic feel fresh again.
