Sharlene Mawdsley shares photo with GAA star BF as she goes Instagram official
Sharlene Mawdsley has revealed she is dating Tipperary hurler Michael Breen after sharing a snap of the pair online. The Olympic sprinter posted an image of the couple on the pitch at Semple Stadium after Tipp's 1-30 to 1-21 victory over Waterford on Sunday. Sharing the photo on Instagram, Mawdsley wrote: "Tippin’ on." The pair posed wearing matching Tipperary jerseys and were sent well wishes by many people, with almost 20,000 having liked the snap at the time of writing. Una Healy was among those to wish the couple well as she commented with a love emoji, to which Mawdsley responded to with two loved up emojis. Breen himself also commented on the post, which he wasn't tagged in, writing: "Any tag nah?" He also added the post to his Instagram story, writing: “This fan was following me around all day.” Meanwhile, Irish runner Cathal Doyle wrote on the post: "Love the hard launch Sharlene." Another comment read: "Two of Tipp’s finest athletes. Magic." Someone else wrote: "Awwwwwww shar about time." One other person said: "Awe love this." Mawdsley recently returned from the World Championship Qualification at the World Relays in Guangzhou, China, where the Irish women's 4x400m relay team qualified for the 2025 World Championships. The 26-year-old, Sophie Becker, Rhasidat Adeleke and Rachel McCann and Sharlene Mawdsley clocked a time of 3:24.69 to earn a spot at Tokyo 2025. Mawdsley also helped Ireland's mixed 4x400m relay team earn qualification alongside Conor Kelly, Rhasidat Adeleke and Cillin Greene.
