‘Superman’ Ending Explained: What This Means For the New DCU
The following post and video will contain some spoilers for James Gunn’s Superman. If you want the ending of Superman explained without spoilers a) you’ll have to go elsewhere and b) you have to tell us where you find something like that because honestly we want to know how to discuss a movie’s ending without spoiling it.Superman is the first movie in the brand-new DC Universe. And it sets the stage for several upcoming DC projects, most obviously the already-shot Supergirl movie. (Which, in our humble opinion, should get retitled Supergirl and Krypto, the Best Boy in the Galaxy.) In our latest Superman movie, we’ll tell you how Superman sets up the new DCU — and we’ll also discuss some of the other details of the movie and their comic-book origins, including the film’s unusual version of Ultraman (and how he’s actually closer to other DC characters like Bizarro and Superboy).
