“I am absolutely blown away with the kindness and generosity of you all, because of you all my beautiful girl will get to see New York (keep everything crossed that she’s well enough!) Lexi wants to thank everyone, she is making sure she smashes her chemotherapy, because in her words ‘Im not letting cancer stop me going to New York!’ She’s already picking her outfits, she has a list of things she wants to see, and we even watched Home Alone (AGAIN) last night haha!! I am so proud of everyone running fundraisers in Lex’s name, you give me the strength to keep going. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! Becky, Brad and Lex (Mum & Step Dad),” Collins said in an update on the GoFundMe page.

The Wrexham Police FC, which is made up of off-duty cops playing soccer and raising charity funds, on its X social media page praised Reynolds for his generous gift.

“A huge thank you to our friend @VancityReynolds for once again showing his incredible generosity. Because of this support, Lexi will be heading to New York when she’s feeling well enough. Not all heroes wear capes, this one wears a red and black suit. Thank you!” the post stated, with a reference to the suit for , Reynolds’ superhero movie character, which has a red and black arrangement.
