The New York Mets were treated to a unique rendition of the US national anthem ahead of their clash against the San Diego Padres Tuesday - thanks to the help of Francisco Lindor's wife.
Katia Reguero, who has been married to the shortstop since 2021, delivered a stirring performance of the 'Star-Spangled Banner' in front of the crowds at Citi Fields.
Katia performed the national anthem in a solo performance on the violin as her proud husband watched on.
Lindor, who cradled their newborn son, appeared emotional as Katia stroked her bow across the strings.
He broke into a beaming smile of pride as she ended the melody with a flourish turning to their young daughters who joined him on the sidelines and animatedly celebrating their mom's performance with them.
The performance captured the hearts of baseball fans across Major League Baseball as many hailed the touching moment on social media.

'She did an absolutely amazing job!!,' one fan gushed in response to a video of the performance on X.
'Love this! The pride for her on his face is priceless,' another posted.
'Beautiful family. What a great memory for them,' added a third, as a fourth chimed in: 'Pretty talented family!'
'Can we get more violin anthems at games?,' another impressed fan urged. 'I was at Citi Field a couple weeks ago and we had a beautiful performance by Itzhak Perlman to start the game.'
'Way to go Mrs Lindor. Beautifully done. Love it. And this is coming from a diehard Phillie fan. Awesome,' a Philadelphia supporter chipped in, despite their team's bitter rivalry with the Mets.
'Coolest thing the Mets have done since the 80s. Awesome moment,' wrote another.
The performance also clearly inspired Lindor as the Mets star went on to hit a home run in the second inning to put New York up 6-1 against the Padres.

Francisco and Katia, who have two daughters and a son together, tied the knot in December 2021 after welcoming their first child a year earlier.
Eldest daughter Kalina was born in November 2020, before youngest girl Amapola Chloe followed in June 2023. Katia then gave birth to a baby boy, Koa Amani, in March of this year.
The couple went viral for another in-game moment earlier this year when Lindor was quizzed by his wife after being mic'd up during the Mets' win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in May.
Lindor wore a microphone while out in the field as part of a special segment for ESPN's live broadcast - something which is becoming the norm in modern-day baseball.
However, while players typically field questions from commentators over the mic, the Puerto Rican shortstop was instead grilled by his wife Katia, who was also wearing one in the stands while holding their newborn baby boy.
Katia quizzed her husband on a number of non-baseball topics - including changing diapers, their date nights together and an upcoming trip to Paris Fashion week - while he multi-tasked with his fielding duties against the Dodgers.
The unusual exchange lasted just over five minutes before Francisco removed his mic and carried on with the game.
