Reason why early morning police helicopter woke up locals in Nuneaton

Locals in part of Nuneaton were woken up to the sound of a police helicopter in the early hours of this morning. CoventryLive received reports about the police activity in the skies at around 3am this morning (September 18). It was circling around the town centre area as well as parts of nearby Abbey Green and near Tuttle Hill. It was heard for more than half an hour. One local, who did not want to be named, said: "It woke me up. It was up for ages." CoventryLive contacted the National Police Air Service (NPAS). It was to help with a search for a vehicle. "A crew from NPAS Birmingham were deployed at 0258 on 18 September to assist Warwickshire Police with a vehicle search," the NPAS spokesperson said.
