The DUP Is set to co-opt a new representative into the Assembly to replace Willie Irwin who is retiring as Newry and Armagh MLA.

Mr Irwin has represented the party at Stormont for 18 years. Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon councillor Gareth Wilson is regarded by insiders as the favourite to replace him.
