Duo arrested after police discover drugs cache in Co Derry property search

Police in Co Derry have arrested two people following the discovery of a haul of drugs during a property search. The raid was conducted this morning on December 5 in the Beraghvale area of Derry city. Officers from the Waterside District Support Team were supported by Tactical Support Group (TSG) officers during the operation.Chief Inspector Pearce said: “A 26-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug and possession of a Class C controlled drug."He was also later arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A controlled drug.”The man has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.News Catch Up - Thursday 4 December Chief Inspector Pearce added: “A 25-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug and possession of a Class C controlled drug. She has since been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.”
