WWE star suffers major wardrobe malfunction after catsuit ripped in awkward place
WWE legend Natalya has broken her silence on her infamous wardrobe malfunction. The incident left her cowering trying to hide her body after her catsuit ripped in a rather awkward spot.The star suffered the unfortunate rip while she was competing in one of wrestling's most prestigious events — WrestleMania. The incident sparked huge debate and left her the butt of many a joke online after the moment went viral.Now, nearly eight years on from the incident, Natalya has spoken out on the debacle and spoke about how it caused further problems for her down the line. She admitted that even today, she is still being recognised for the moment, despite it being nearly a decade old.According to the Sun, Natalya was one of the participants in WrestleMania 34, which took place in April of 2018. Ultimately Natalya — whose real name is Natalie Neidhart-Wilson — was eliminated from the competition, but she would become known for worse reasons.During the tournament, Monday Night Raw legend Naomi came out on top, beating Bayley to become the absolute winner. But in Bayley's clash with Natalya right beforehand, Natalya drew attention midway through the fight.During the course of the fight, Natalya was slammed over the ropes of the ring by her opponent. In that moment, the sheer force of impact caused the black leather trousers she was wearing at the time to split open — in the area around her crotch.Even more awkwardly for Natalya, she had opted not to cover the area with any underwear. As a result, her entire private area laid exposed for everyone to see in the horrific gaffe.Since the event, social media is still reminded of the awkward moment as footage regularly goes viral showing the exact instant the singlet ripped. Now, Natalya has now spoken out, and admitted she did not even know that the outfit had ripped.Speaking with Stephanie McMahon on her podcast, Natalya, now aged 43, said: "So, Bayley had tossed me out of the ring in this Battle Royale, and I had this beautiful catsuit. Beyonce had worn something like this, and I wanted to have the sides open."But because the sides were open, you can’t wear underwear," she continued. "So, I get tossed over the top rope, and I go out, and it was a crazy tumbled landing, but I didn’t think anything of it."When asked about when she realised the catsuit was ripped, she revealed she only learned about the rip when she went backstage after the fight. She admitted then that she had no idea of the scale of virality she was about to get."I had no underwear," Natalya recalled. "So, I know that’s probably a lot… I was terrified, and then I was trending."Since then, Natalya has moved past her awkward gaffe, and is now set to star in a new role in her time with the WWE.
