Two toddlers have been seriously injured after a truck ploughed into multiple cars at a busy intersection on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
Emergency crews arrived at Banya Avenue and Great Keppel Way in Banya, about 30km south of the Sunshine Coast, at 12pm to find a number of injured people.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said two toddlers suffered 'significant injuries' as a result of the multi-vehicle crash.
One toddler has been rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital while the other was airlifted to hospital in a rescue helicopter.
At least five others, including adults, are stable and being treated at the scene.
An eyewitness at the scene told the Courier Mail they saw people pulling a baby and a child out of one of the vehicles.
More to come.
