How to watch Auchinleck Talbot v Celtic in the Scottish Cup
Sixth tier Auchinleck Talbot will attempt to cause the biggest Scottish Cup shock of all time when they host Celtic at Rugby Park on Sunday.
The West of Scotland Premier League side are reknowned for their cup upsets having knocked out Championship sides Ayr United in 2019 and Hamilton Accies in 2021.
Claiming the scalp of Martin O’Neill’s Celtic would enter the realms of fairytale and mark the greatest achievement of any non-league side in the history of the competition - an honour currently held by Darvel for their stunning 1-0 win over Aberdeen in 2023.
However, Auchinleck’s hopes of making life difficult for the Hoops suffered a blow when the game was moved from their 4000-capacity home stadium of Beechwood Park due to safety concerns.
The “extremely disappointing” decision to switch the tie to the home of Kilmarnock was met with dismay by the club’s supporters amid talk of boycotts, however, the much bigger crowd at the 15,000-capacity Premiership venue will ensure Talbot bank a significant financial windfall.
For Celtic, the objective will be to reach the next round with as minimal fuss as possible as they look to continue their second revival under O’Neill, who has won back-to-back league matches against Dundee United and Falkirk since returning to the dugout following the sacking of Wilfried Nancy.

Celtic remain without Kelechi Iheanacho, Alistair Johnston, Callum Osmand and Marcelo Saracchi (all hamstring) and Cameron Carter-Vickers (Achilles). Jota’s knee problem is likely to keep him out for the rest of the season.
