"I've been working at this large company for several months now. I'm late less often, but I... 'compensate' by regularly making rookie mistakes at work. This earns me a dressing-down from my boss in the company elevator, away from everyone else. She knows I can't escape being reprimanded, while simultaneously telling me how lucky I am to work for such a prestigious company. I feel crushed, unable to move, lacking the space to defend myself.I just want to do my best. But I feel stifled in this job.
