As well as the likes of Kate Winslet and Rod Stewart, the King was also joined by his beloved sister-in-law, Duchess Sophie, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. Although his wife was present, there was a valid reason that Edward didn't join his family members in Windsor this week.
The Duke of Edinburgh was instead at the Tower of London to unveil The King's Champion's Coronation Armour.
The 61-year-old attended an auction in an auditorium to acquire a complete suit of Maximilian-style armour, dating to around the 1500s.
Speaking of their royal guest, the Royal Armouries Museum said: "It's the only armour known to have been worn by a champion at a British coronation. Last night, it was officially unveiled with His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh as our honoured guest."
While Edward was in London, Sophie was in Windsor. Appearing in high spirits, Sophie stunned in green as she spoke to the celebrity guests at the premiere.
Filmed last year, the documentary reportedly includes the King sharing his thoughts on the environment and watching archive footage of his previous speeches on the subject.
It will be available on Amazon Prime Video from February 6.
