Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo premiered on September 8, 2025, but the fate of the Jujutsu High students continues to be widely debated among fans, as only a few of the beloved original cast have been mentioned so far. While fans were hyped by Yuji's return in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter #19, another fan-favorite character was just confirmed alive.
Although Nobara Kugisaki made a brief appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, many fans had given up hope, thinking they might never find out what happened to the other characters. However, another name that surfaced in the search for Yuji Itadori, surprising fans, was that of his self-proclaimed brother, Aoi Todo.

Jujutsu Kaisen's sequel is set 68 years after the Culling Game, meaning characters like Yuta Okkotsu, Maki Zenin, Hana Kurusu, and even Panda have already passed away, much to the dismay of fans. Fortunately, in a bonus page of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter #20, Nobara confirmed that Aoi Todo was alive, and is another person who might know Yuji's whereabouts.
Nobara mentions this to Mino, Usami's subordinate tasked with finding Yuji. However, when Mino asks Nobara where he can find Todo, she replies that she has no idea. According to her, the only person who knows about Todo is Yuji himself, since everyone hates him and refuses to stay in contact with him.
This continues the recurring joke from his introduction in the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc, where it's revealed that no one likes Todo except Yuji. While Todo considers Yuji his brother and was there to support him through his toughest times in Jujutsu Kaisen's story, he didn't think highly of the rest of his classmates because he disapproved of their taste in women.

While the news that Todo is alive is great for fans, the fact that Nobara mentioned him as someone close to Yuji instead of Megumi Fushiguro could mean that he also died by the time Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo takes place. However, in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter #13, it can be seen that Nobara's testimony is saved with the number 3.
This suggests that two other people were interviewed before her regarding their relationship with Yuji. Nevertheless, it's likely that Todo hasn't had contact with Yuji recently due to his visible depression. Despite his attitude, Todo always managed to help Yuji move forward.
During the Shibuya arc, Todo emphasized how they were the exception, stressing that their comrades wouldn't truly be gone as long as the two of them were alive. This message would likely help Yuji more than ever to cope with his immortality and the loss of his friends. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is reaching its climax, so fans should expect more revelations in the coming chapters.
