Ryanair bizarrely asks passengers to stop wearing regular clothing item
Ryanair is asking passengers to ‘please’ stop wearing a specific article of clothing while heading on their travels.
The airline is known for its social media jibes and it has now hit out at a common fashion choice for many holidaymakers.
Unless you’ve got the emergency exit row, it’s common knowledge that leg room isn’t a privilege that Ryanair hands out for fun on its flights.

Comfort can be tough to achieve on certain trips, though a helpful fashion choice can go a long way.
Ryanair has warned against a certain article of clothing that can typically get in the way of true comfort, asking passengers to ‘please’ give them up while travelling.
In a TikTok post, the airline shared a video of a Ryanair plane touching down at a holiday destination, with a voice saying: ‘Thank you for flying Ryanair.’

The text over the video reads: ‘It’s 2026, let’s stop travelling in jeans’, with the airline adding a ‘please’ in the caption.
Many TikTok users hit back at Ryanair’s post, with some questioning the statement and others making jibes of their own.
One user wrote: ‘Well then maybe let me bring a bigger bag to PUT MY JEANS IN.’

Another shared: ‘Let’s stop squishing seats together for 2026.’
When another asked: ‘What is wrong with jeans please explain’, Ryanair replied: ‘What’s right with them?’
Yet another declared: ‘Let’s stop only allowing teeny tiny bags as hand luggage. Then we don’t have to.’
While this one is not enforceable, Ryanair has plenty of other rules that passengers have been reminded to follow in 2026.
Most people are aware of the baggage size restrictions, liquid amounts, and obvious items that are forbidden to pack, but some airline-specific policies tend to be lesser known.
One such item is takeaway coffees, which Ryanair has asked passengers to ensure they have finished drinking before stepping foot on the plane.
While most people will opt for a quick cup of tea or coffee while waiting for their flight, all hot to-go drinks are actually banned from Ryanair flights.
This includes any hot drinks purchased after already passing through security, which the airline notes often confuses travellers as they reach the boarding gate.
