Trotting along in his socked feet, with his bare bottom out for all to see, you could be forgiven for thinking he was auditioning for an episode of Benny Hill.
But this bald-headed man was not taking part in any television comedy.
Instead, the semi-naked jogger stunned passing motorists in Bolton, Greater Manchester, by allegedly running away from the scene of a three-car accident - without his trousers - last month.
The video footage, posted on Facebook, shows the unnamed, half-naked man, dressed in just a black T-shirt and socks, with his pants in his hands, jogging along Wigan Road, in the town.
He looks furtively around, while a seemingly bemused Weimaraner dog looks on, before disappearing into woodland.
As the camera pans around a white hatchback car, apparently abandoned with the driver’s door open, can also be seen at the nearby junction with Beaumont Road, with two other crashed vehicles nearby.
Other footage posted online shows the white car apparently jumping through a red light before being involved in the accident, on January 17.
Cheeky social media users posted hilarious speculation online about what the man might have been up to prior to the crash, including claims he had been forced to flee in a hurry after being ‘caught s******* his lover by her furious husband.’

Neighbours told the Mail the clip of the semi-naked driver went viral on social media almost immediately. One quipped: 'Only in Bolton'
Other onlookers joked that the man looked like he was auditioning for the Benny Hill Show (pictured)
Others joked that ‘even his dog disowned him’ because of his behaviour.
One neighbour said: ‘The video appeared on social media within minutes of it happening, it was almost like watching a live feed of what was going on.
'Different videos from different angles kept appearing – we have no idea who the man is, we couldn’t see his face, only his backside! Fortunately, there were no close ups.’
Another said: ‘At first we were concerned he was a flasher, then there were loads of rumours he’d been up to no good with another man’s wife and the husband had come home, so he’d had to leg it quickly.
‘It’s not something you see every day - only in Bolton!’
Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were investigating the crash.
A spokesman said: ‘Mark Richards, 48, of Skelmersdale, Lancashire, has been charged with failure to provide specimen. He has been bailed and is due to appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates on 4 March 2026.’
