As a child I loved nothing more than building snowmen and snow forts, having snowball fights and sledding down all the hills in the neighborhood! Phil’s colorful layout uses a large die cut of gloves forming a heart, the sledding photo is perfect in the center. This darling Wintertime layout has pre-printed snowmen and lots of cute animals bundled up to have fun in the snow. There’s also lots of fun sentiments and notice how some of the sayings and images are over the photos to help break up some of the white space in them. I came across this idea on the Echo Park Paper Instagram page.
Winter layouts don’t have to be blue and white, try using lots of color like Natalie did here. She designed a mixed media background with a snowflake stencil and different Distress Ink colors, water and stamping. Over top are strips of pattern papers, metallic snowflakes and a mixed title. This ice skating layout is just too cool! Created with products from Queen and Co. it uses a fun color combo of purple and teal. There’s lots of snowflakes cut from pattern papers, each with a gem in the center and a watercolor wash of purple behind them. Take a closer look over at Scrapbook.com.
This layout is super sweet for a snowy Valentine’s Day! Jodi used a template to create her mosaic design using black, pink and white cardstocks and Valentine pattern papers, adding die cut hearts, X’s and O’s over some of the squares. Take a closer look at the Mosaic Moments blog.
Wow, I’m blown away by the title on Allison’s Snow Much Fun layout! She used a die cut title as a mask, splattering inside and then stitched around the edges on woodgrain pattern paper. She made 3 clusters with the photos and wintery embellishments along with a scattering of thick white snowflakes. I came across her design on the Allison Davis 4SG Instagram page.
Karlla’s wonderful Winter design has lots of nice depth and texture. There’s torn pattern papers, stitching, chipboard elements and distressed marks with a white gel pen. This clean and simple Winter layout is digital and has a repeated text background which is a nice way to fill some space without being too busy. In the center are the matted photo, a snow definition, some sentiments and snowflakes. Also do you see how some of the images have shadows or looked curled this give a realistic touch to a digi design. This layout uses products from O’ Scraps.
April’s beautiful layout has lots of lovely die cut embellishments like floral clusters with layered Poinsettia flowers, the title, snowflakes and a row of icicles. I love the chilly color combo of purples and blues that Tarrah used on her Wintery page! In the middle are three strips of distressed pattern papers with a scalloped striped edge. Olga’s serene stroll through a Wintery woods layout uses a digital scrapbook template. There’s wonderful large snow covered trees beside the photos, falling snowflakes, faux washi tapes and a subtle snowflake and watercolor background.
