California's 'bikini cafe' is raided by police as scantily-clad patrons are arrested for public nudity

A strip club posing as a Southern California coffee shop was raided by cops who arrested nearly-nude staff and patrons.

The Garden Grove Police Department arrested 17 people after discovering the illicit activity inside the DD Cafe on February 5.

The coffee shop served lap dances, private dances, and offered guests the option to bring their own alcohol in for a $30 fee. The establishment also charged $80 for a nude dance, according to an undercover investigation by Fox 11.

Mytchell Mora, a former Garden Grove resident and news producer, explained to the outlet how it was no secret that DD Cafe was serving much more than beverages.

'It's a strip club with no rules and all types of things going on there,' said Mora. 'Everyone knows about it, and no one was doing anything about it.'

He became concerned due to the cafe's proximity to La Quinta High School, a direct violation of the Garden Grove Municipal Code, which prohibits adult entertainment within 1,000 feet of a school facility.

The coffee shop's social media, seen by Fox, showed women wearing bikinis posing together, lined up, welcoming guests to come in.

Officials finally took action, issuing warrants at the time of the arrests and also shutting down the business with a red tag following the outlet's investigation.

Among those arrested were the owners of the secret strip club, who were also hit with alcohol violations.

Those taken into custody were charged with misdemeanors and released, according to the New York Post.

Residents told Fox that DD Cafe is just one of many businesses operating secret sexual dealings.

'If you go on this whole street, you can probably find 10 of them. This city should crack down on all of them,' said one resident.

Paulina Abena was looking for a cup of coffee when she accidentally stumbled into the DD Cafe.

'I walk in, everyone is naked,' Abena posted online about the coffee shop.

'I'm the only non-naked woman in the place,' Abena added.

She was then greeted by a completely naked woman. When Abena asked if this was a coffee shop, she told her that it was.

Abena said she enjoyed a cup of coffee while guests were being served, and she even had to ask one customer to borrow some cash after realizing the business did not accept credit cards.

Additionally, some online users reaffirmed that it was obvious DD Cafe had more than they were offering on the menu.

One user wrote: 'Strip club? That place has a reputation of a full blown b****** bar.'

Another added: 'Driven past this place for the last 15 years on my way to work. Never gone in. But it’s pretty obvious from the outside it’s exactly what I thought it was.'

A third said: 'This place has been around for a long time. Went once with some buds lol.'
