GHOST’s Tobias Forge is the latest musician to get the Nardwuar treatment, and the results are so incredibly lovely.
If you are less familiar with the work of Nardwuar, the Human Serviette, all you need to know is that he asks the questions that bands and artists least expect, but that we need to know. A gift-giver, a deep researcher and a lover of music in all of its forms, his videos are a joy to behold.
And this time around, he has met up with Tobias at Neptune Records in British Columbia. From the get-go, there are references to the origins of ‘Call Me Little Sunshine’ and to underground metal icons, both of Sweden and of British Columbia; it’s a conversation that takes us further behind the curtain than ever before. Showing off the things that have inspired Tobias throughout his career that have ultimately led to GHOST becoming one of the biggest bands in the world.
It’s a coming together of special personalities that will make your heart sing.
Sit back and enjoy.
GHOST are preparing to bring their ‘Skelétour’ to an end over the next few days across California, with the final dates as follows.
FEBRUARY
20 – SACRAMENTO Golden 1 Center
21 – ANAHEIM Honda Center
23 – INGLEWOOD Intuit Dome
They also just released a seductive video for their sensational track ‘Umbra’, which looks a lot like this.
GHOST were winners of the 2025 Rock Sound Visionary Artist Award.
With ‘Skeletá’, Tobias Forge allowed more of his true self to poke through the shiny exterior than ever before, lifting the mask and creating some of his most deeply personal work to date. Combined with a visual aesthetic that was as cinematic and striking as ever, this latest iteration of the Papa cemented their legacy as one of the most interesting and carefully crafted performance artists of our time. Tobias takes us inside their sixth album and the challenges and crucial realisations that came with the making of it.
