The dogs involved are understood to be of the Pitbull breedAn armed Garda attacked by a dog at a house in the centre of Sligo discharged his gun wounding the animal.The incident occurred as Gardaí were assisting the Dog Warden in the removal of a number of dogs from the property. The incident occurred on Sunday last.
