Mango strengthens presence in Ireland with new store in Limerick

Spanish fashion giant Mango has opened its first standalone store in Limerick city centre, adding to existing stores in Cork, Swords and Newbridge to further reinforce its retail presence in Ireland.

The 7,535 sq ft store is located on O’Connell street in the former Debenhams building, and is now housing its latest womenswear and menswear collections across clothing, footwear and accessories.

The new opening forms part of Mango’s ambitious global expansion strategy, which has seen the brand on track to open 500 new stores globally by the end of 2026 (from the start of 2024).

The expansion builds on Mango’s growth. In July 2025, Mango reported a global turnover of €1.73 billion for the first half of the year, marking a 12% year-on-year increase. This was driven by the popularity of its collections, including the recent collaboration with London designer Supriya Lele, as well as the continued opening of new stores.

Fiona Cullen, Mango's International Regional Director for the UK & Ireland, said: “Our new store in Limerick is a confident step forward for Mango, building on the strong progress we have made over the last year to broaden the appeal of Mango to even more customers across Ireland.

“Limerick is the perfect new home to introduce our womenswear and menswear collections to Irish customers, in a store format that truly represents the Mediterranean soul of our brand.”

At the end of 2025, Mango had around 20 points of sale across Ireland, including two standalone flagship stores in Dublin, located on Grafton Street and Henry Street, stores in Dundrum and Blanchardstown, as well as concessions.

Last month saw Mango open a new 6,673 sq ft store on London’s Kensington High Street, marking its 24th site in the capital, which it sees as “a priority growth market” having opened 10 locations across London in the past three years. Its sales in London represent around 40% of Mango’s total UK sales.

As with previous recent openings, such as Mango’s 4,500 sq ft store at the Union Square shopping centre in Aberdeen, which opened in November 2025 and marked the Spanish fashion retailer’s ninth store in Scotland, the new Kensington store reflects Mango’s ‘New Med’ concept - as does the new store in Limerick.
