Two boys, both on bail, have been charged following Friday night's alleged random stabbing attack at Sydney's Bondi Beach.
A 54-year-old man was allegedly randomly attacked by two teenagers with a machete at about 9.15pm on February 27.
Police rushed to the corner of Gould Street and Glasgow Avenue, just off the popular tourist spot, to find a 54-year-old man with a stab wound to his upper body.
'Police were told the man became involved in an argument with a boy on an e-bike, which then escalated into a fight,' a NSW Police spokesperson said in a statement.
'The boy allegedly fled the scene and later returned with another boy who was allegedly armed with a knife, before the pair assaulted the man a second time and then left.'
He was treated at the scene before paramedics rushed him to St Vincent's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Two boys, aged 15 and 17, were arrested at Beach Road, before being taken to Surry Hills Police Station.
On Saturday morning, police charged the boys, who will face court over the alleged stabbing.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with 10 offences including wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.
He was also charged with stalking and intimidation intending fear physical harm and two counts of supplying a prohibited drug and breach of bail.
The 17-year-old was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others, and possession or use a of prohibited weapon without permit and breach of bail.
They were refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Division Court on February 28.
Photographs from Friday night's scene showed members of the public helping the 54-year-old as he sat on the ground before paramedics arrived.
One stranger could be seen applying pressure to the man's back, while a woman had helped bandage and apply a tourniquet to his arm.
Friday night’s incident was just hundreds of metres away from the scene of December’s Bondi Beach shootings, where 15 people were killed in the nation’s worst terrorist attack.
