What I Read In February 2026.

february reads

Another month of great reads! We are inching closer to my favorite time of the year for books – within the next month or two, many of my favorite authors will have a new release and I can’t wait! What are you reading right now?!

I have a book of the month membership – I love it so much. I read SO many books from this box. I get so many of my new releases and debut author books there. You can sign up for one here.

Most of these books are linked through bookshop (if available!) and I highly suggest shopping through there because it will support your local indie bookstore. You can choose the local bookstore to support! I support Penguin Books when I buy which is my fave here in Pittsburgh.

Theo Of Golden – 5 stars

I wish I could give this book 1000 stars! My mom read this for her book club in January and said I had to read it. Oh my gosh, it is such a wonderful heartwarming book. You will never quite meet anyone like Theo! We follow Theo, who is a quiet and somewhat mysterious man, that plans to buy pencil portraits and return them to their rightful owners. All of the characters in this book and just amazing and it is so wonderful!

One & Only – 4.5 stars

Another great one! I relied heavily on my book of the month books and this was such a lovely one. Such a good romance for February! We follow Cassia whose family has had a longstanding matchmaking business. But Cassia is turning 40 and feeling very glum about her own situation. She decides to have a fling with a guy in his 20s and what transpires from there is something magical. This is a bit deeper than a regular light romance and I loved it so, so much.

Sunk In Love  – 3.5 stars

I wasn’t sure if I would love this one – we know the premise right away. It’s about a couple who is going to divorce due to much strain in their marriage (and outside of it). I just didn’t know if I wanted to read that! But they continue to fake their relationship for a family event and before they know it, old feelings come back to the surface. Overall this was super cute and I do love a second chance romance. It probably didn’t help that I read it after the above two books!

Most Eligible – 3.5 stars

Another cute one! This was very bachelor-esque, with it revolving around a reality TV dating show! In this book, we follow the main character who goes on the show, only to realize that the host is someone she had a one night stand with. She’s on the show so she can expose all the drama in an expose, but at the same time can’t let anyone know about her and the host. It was cute and drama filled and felt very much like the bachelorette!

The First Time I Saw Him  – 4 stars

I was SO excited to get this book! I have been waiting and waiting for this because I loved the first so much and then, of course, watched the show! This did not disappoint! It hooked me right away and I didn’t even have high expectations going in – sequels rarely do it for me. I loved Hannah and especially more so since I could picture Jennifer Garner the entire time. It is nice that it ties up the loose ends!

Riding The High – 3.5 stars

I’ve ready the other books in this series and I love them for a super quick, mindless and enjoyable read. They are western/ranch romances are feel a little like spicy-yellowstone. This book includes a fake marriage and I do like a fake dating troupe! I also love that the characters are all mentioned in the other books (though you don’t have to read them all in order) and it really brings the world together.
