Chrysler has been fairly dormant over the past decade, but the brand recently showed signs of life when it teased an upcoming refresh for the Pacifica minivan. But now there's a major shakeup happening at the top of Chrysler, with parent company Stellantis announcing that CEO Chris Feuell is being replaced by Matt McAlear, who is currently also the CEO of Dodge.

Stellantis said the change is effective immediately, with McAlear also taking over as the head of Alfa Romeo North America. He will retain his current role as Dodge CEO, which he has held since 2024. McAlear has spent 13 years at the company, working in various roles from sales and marketing to management. He also has prior experience at Chrysler, leading the launch of the current-generation Pacifica when it debuted back in 2016.

Feuell is stepping down as CEO of the company for personal reasons, according to Stellantis. She joined Chrysler as CEO in 2021 and became the head of Alfa Romeo North America in late 2024. She also served briefly as the boss of Ram in 2024, before Tim Kuniskis returned from his short six-month retirement to lead the truck brand a week after the resignation of Stellantis boss Carlos Tavares.

During Feuell's tenure at Chrysler, the brand discontinued the long-running 300 sedan and debuted a pair of concept cars, the Airflow SUV and the futuristic Halcyon sedan. The upcoming 2027 Pacifica was also developed under Feuell, and she had previously mentioned other planned models, including an SUV and a new sedan, which have yet to come to fruition. It's unclear how this switch in leadership will affect Chrysler's plans, but we bet all systems are still go on the refreshed 2027 Pacifica, which should go on sale later this year.
