Kehlani Recruits Missy Elliott for New Song “Back and Forth”

Kehlani has teamed with Missy Elliott for a new song. Listen to “Back and Forth” below. The collab leads Kehlani’s self-titled album, announced last Month and due April 24, the same day as their birthday.

Kehlani, released via Atlantic, is the singer’s follow-up to their 2024 LP Crash, which featured their Grammy-nominated hit “After Hours.” At this year’s Grammys, Kehlani picked up the Best R&B Performance trophy for “Folded.”

As for Missy, “Back and Forth” is the latest of her sporadic forays into the studio, which have included guest spots with Skrillex and Anitta in recent years. Out in the real world, however, she has had plenty going on: a 2023 Rock Hall induction, a record sent into space, a National Medal of Arts, and her first-ever North American tour.
