Sizable 5.7 earthquake rocks 'biggest little city in the world' Reno, Nevada

Nevada residents were rocked by a sizable earthquake Monday night.

The 5.7-magnitude earthquake was reported at 6.29pm, about 11 miles southeast of Silver Spring, Nevada, the US Geological Survey reported.

It was originally labeled as a 5.5-magnitude quake, but was quickly upgraded as hundreds of residents reported that their lights started to shake.

The quake was then followed by a 3.6-magnitude aftershock at 6.32pm, another 2.8-magnitude quake one minute later and a 3.0-magnitude quake at 6.35pm.
