Harry and Meghan we've stopped caring - a new young royal is here to save the family

Selfie time with Meghan and Harry (Image: Getty)While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tour the world hunting headlines, they seem pretty confident they can ultimately cement their dream status as working royals who rake in cash on the side. First they flew to Jordan, then to Australia where they combined charity work with PR stunts and paid appearances. However, how the Sussexes earn money and fund their lavish lifestyle should be a major concern for the Royal Family. Meghan has been criticised by some for exploiting grief after the outfit she wore when meeting survivors of the Bondi terror attack became available for purchase online; the website selling it gives her a percentage of the sales. The online link was later pulled.Louis with older brother George (Image: Getty)Meghan was expected to earn a portion of OneOff's sales commission, which ranged from 10 per cent to 25 per cent per item sold. She is also an investor in the AI-powered fashion business. So I guess the bigger the tragedy and headlines the pair can muster around the world, the more clothes they can sell? It is not a business model that gives anyone much dignity.Critics have said that the decision to advertise the duchess's 'look' on a visit to meet terror attack survivors is "the starkest example yet of Harry and Meghan’s efforts to commercialise their royal brand".The idea that the Sussexes could soon return to the UK and do that here fills many royal watchers with concern and dread. So it is lucky that the Royal Family have new young princes and princesses who already seem full of a young Prince Harry's fun - but with the deep serious sense of duty he has failed to live up to after Megxit.Over Christmas, future king Prince George, 12, joined his father in helping out at a charity's kitchen, cooking and serving meals - while Princess Charlotte has the easy 'Princess Anne' manner of engaging people and putting them at ease. One clip that went viral last December showed her leaning in to shake the hand of one fan, wishing them "Merry Christmas" when a woman asked: "Charlotte, can we have a photo with you?" Charlotte excitedly replied: "Yes, yes!"But what of Louis? Well he is the jewel in the crown.Last week he turned eight and the public already adores him.Prince Louis with his family (Image: Getty)The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a rare glimpse into Louis's life with a heartwarming video showing him playing in the sand, enjoying a game of cricket and running along the beach during a fun-filled holiday to Cornwall over Easter. He is said to be adventurous, cheeky and fearless - remind anyone else of a young Harry? But he is also watching the way his parents and older siblings act and view their role.At Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Louis, then four, took centre stage as the Royal Family appeared on the balcony. Alarmed by the noise caused by the Red Arrows circling overhead, he covered his ears and winced.Similarly, the youngster charmed audiences around the world with his antics at the concert held in honour of his 'Gan Gan' and her 70-year reign.Let's leave Harry and Meghan to cash in on their royal titles - I feel our monarchy is far safer in the hands of this younger new generation of royals.
